Neotek Elan on ebay

Hi,
I've seen this console on ebay, I've read a lot of good opinions about Neotek consoles, and the price seems right but I'm quite afraid about the console's condition. It says on the description that it's clean and in "very good condition" but, from the pictures, it doesn't look so good (missing switches, dirty pots and panels, rusty screws, dust in the PSU...) It seems that the actual owners didn't take so much care of it...
So, do you think it's still a good idea to buy it ? Or am I going into huge trouble ?

For that price I would go look @ it personally.

If all is good...it's a great deal.

Cheers,

Nathan

All used analog consoles are going to require some work. With a little work & reg checkups they will stay in service for many years.ANYTHING can be fixed. If you are going to keep a console, invest some money upfront & get it back up to spec & you are on your way.Neoteks are great desks

Look at it this way: At $6500 / 36 channels- $180.00 a channel or $8000/ 36 ch = $222.00 a channel that includes a mic pre & really nice EQ, PLUS the rest of the goodies that come with a console. Not too shabby.Budget some $$ to clean it up.

Know what you are getting into before you buy,but dont be afraid of a little work, there are some great deals out there.
