| delta 1010 OSX Logic w/MIDI - audio glitches pops
Dual G4 1Ghz, OSX 10.2.6, Logic 6 Pro
Delta 1010
When I play my keyboard into the MIDI port of the 1010 to trigger the synth plugins, etc., after a while I get these audio glitches- short bursts of garbled noise.
I can deal with audio glitches if they did not affect the time/beat of the song, but they total screw up the timing of whatever is playing back by extending the playback time. So, in essence, it is not an overloaded digital signal-- it is a big fat fart of digital noise inserted serially into the song.
I have set my buffer settings to 2048 (the highest setting). When I set it lower it is worse.
When I emailed Midiman (M-audio) they replied:
----
"If it's not too much trouble, could you please copy and paste a list of your IRQ settings into your response?
Go to : START --> RUN --> type "msinfo32" --> OK --> Hardware Resources --> IRQ's"
---
The email clearly stated that I was using a Mac w/OSX, but their support must be smoking crack again.
I have adjusted my energy saver settings to not energy save.... although I am not playing back recorded tracks- just audio instruments. I am not sure what else to do.
Am I losing my mind? Should I purchase a Motu828 instead? Anything else? Is this 1010 a piece of crap?
Is anyone using a 1010 with Logic and OSX and having audio glitches?? I am using the latest driver. Any tips to get me going would be great.
Rock on-
