Where are you based? I know of a UK source.

We run a soundtracs topaz 24 channel desk, what model is your desk?

Cheers,
Rich

Try Tim at Studio Systems, London, UK. I bought my Soundtracs SoloLogic from him.

Hope it helps. Regards, Alexandr.

Thanks Syncro, thats who I was thinking of but was digging around / stalling whilst I remembered his contact details.

Tim is a extremely helpful and very friendly chap, if he doesn't have something, he'll know who will.

Cheers,
Rich

doe! i forgot to add. i got the board, i'm looking for the PSU!!! haha. can't belive i spaced that out.. i guess the pic under my name IS a direction reflection of who i am. lol. i'll check this tim guy out, i appreciate it. as for the series, it is just refered to as the soundtracs 16:8:16, i don't see any specific series name on it. that topaz looked sweet man. unfourtantly i have no way to tell how this board sounds out of yet, but i got such a sick price i coudln't pass it up (plus the dude i bought i from is very reputable and i trust the board will be in perfect order once i get the psu) the only cosmetic flaw was a broken cap.

anyways, how do these soundtracs sound!? a few sources tell me they sound phatter then soundcraft/allen&heath? i use to own a soundcraft 200b, and an allen & heath sr16. i will be amazed if this sounds better.

btw, how would you say the soundtracs stacks up against the amek bullet series?

Yes, I think Tim is the right person to ask if your Soundtracs has some troubles 8-) I was very satisfied...

As for Soundtracs soundwise, I donīt know if itīs a good idea to compare it to other brands generally. I have SoloLogic 24-8-2 and itīs sounding very warm with nice bass response. I know Topaz Project8 is a little bit cleaner, but also very nice. As for AH, I worked on GL2200 and some Wizards, I prefer my Soundtracs because of EQs and overall sound. Donīt know Soundcraft too much, just some Spirits and again, I like my board much more, but itīs all matter of taste.

Regards, Alexandr.
