Only 1 reverb for HD

Gearslutz, i need ur help, i just got an HD rig and am tryin to keep it simple as possible, im gonna grab the SSL bundle as soon as i get the set up up and running, i only want 1 good reverb, i like the idea of having different flavors but i also like the limitations of using what i got , all i want is ONE reverb, thats it, what would u guys consider a good or great all around reverb, TL, VSS3, i dunno, im lost, help a brotha out!

Not VSS23, but yes on TL Space. I used TL Space with LE and liked it, but I heard it was buggy with HD so I went with Revibe. I try to avoid Reverb when possible, but Revibe takes care of what I need it to. Not sure how well Alitiverb works with HD, but I think most will agree at least as far as Native goes, it is up there with the Best if not the best. Soundtoys TDM will be a must have at some point. TDM only because they are great to track through.

outboard sounding of the lot

try a demo

I'd go revibe, personally. Most configurable, and it sounds great! May not be best at anything, but I think it's best for everything, nahmean?

Altiverb. If you can only buy one. It works fine in HD.

TL Space also works fine with HD but I don't think it sounds as good as Altiverb. I don't really like revibe at all.

I'd go with the VSS3. It's simple, yet flexible.

Can't really use it on Aux channel in HD. I use it, but on individual tracks.

The only way is to run the demos head to head; choose the one you like the most.
If you like them all, choose the one you think might be most suitable for your needs/environment.

Altiverb sounds great, but if I had to use only one reverb, I would 8 of 10 times use a generic one.

DVR2 is the most beautiful reverb i have heard. i prefer it than VSS3.

NONLIN, on the other hand, is a special effects tool. forget about it if you want to have just ONE reverb on your system.

I have to agree with Sig.

You might want to even consider the Waves gold bundle which includes IRL, a "light" version of IR. It's a great sounding RTAS reverb, and with the gold bundle, you'll get a bunch of other very useful tools.

OK, all the Waves bashers, flame away!!

[QUOTE=deuc647;1822807am getting a tascam dm 4800 console.[/QUOTE]

Please let us know how you like it after you drive it for a while. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these.

BTW - Are the "TC Effects" onboard an M-2000 or better?

Thanks!!

Sure will, i should be getting it, sometime this month or the latest next. I heard the reverb in the console is pretty good but ALL of the presets need tweaking to shine, ill be sure to report back asap.

If you're only getting one I'd say get a convolution verb. Most likely I'd recommend Altiverb.

It's an oldie but a goodie .. ReverbOne is one of the best sounding
reverbs I've used.

None of the convolving reverbs will fit on the TDM ...

If you go RTAS, the Overloud Breverb sounds pretty darn good.
We checked it out at AES and it has a huge range of utility.

Waves IR-1 or Altiverb.

The TL Space TDM is also good but being that I'm only using an HD2, I couldn't afford all the chips used.

Enjoy.

But the eventide plugs are a must for everything else they do.

Then get yourself a Bricasti, an authentic plate, a dsp4000/3000/orville, pcm91 and a TC m4000/5000 and a quantec yardstick for good measure.
