Sub Base sound on Beyonce

On the track Irresistible

there is a sub bass sound I have heard on other Modern R+B albums too

I haven't tried to replicate it BUT does anyone know what they do???

It's a traveling sine wave that falls through the frequencies, placed on some beats and is usually filtered off at around 40Hz.

I use an analogue drum synth for this, but you can do it with most analogue synths, e.g. MS20, or any of the analogue Moogs.

I'm not an R&B fan but that track sounds amazing.....

I love listening to it in the studio and I play it for people when we start talking about OT production.....

I guess you are talking about "Irreplaceable". Great production by Stargate. Are you talking about the sub bass, or the sub tail on the 808 kick?
