I have the complete mondo room kit. Best investment I made last year.
Recently did a monitor shootout of sorts and took this pic.
I have 3 traps in front and two big ones in the corners. 2 on the sides of listening position. 2 on the ceiling above listening position. 2 biguns for the rear corners and 1 right behind listening position. They are just wraped in fabric.
I literally installed them - ran a freq sweep - smiled - and was done. My shittly little room turned into a great little mix room. Everything translates.
Great product. Informative web site. Best 2K i spent last year.

That looks like a pretty good shootout there! What did you go with in the end?

I am loath to talk about monitors in this forum. Especially about the three that I was testing. Each is a great monitor. Each is VERY different from the other.
PM me if you'd like to talk about monitors.

yep. i had 4 minitraps in my old (tiny) room. i moved to this room in february and bought all the traps i could afford: 13 in total, both Real and GIK.

i'm still playing with getting the hi-end right (i recently took down one of my 3 Auralex foam sheets), but the bass response is pretty even throughout the room.

the first photo is a microtrap working as a first reflection point. i've also got one of those straight ahead of me, a sound blanket over my work surface, and a pair of GIK 242's (with more sound blankets on them) for L/R 1st reflection. i get a very nice stereo separation, and i'm hearing reverbs better than ever. good investment all around, imho.

Tiny room. 8" by 8" almost perfect square.

All HF RealTraps.

4 in main room corners.
1 front wall-celing,
1 left wall-ceiling,
1 back wall-ceiling.
1 behind me Horizontally mounted
1 hanging above me (1st Reflection)
1 2by2 Left (1st Reflection)
1 2by2 Right (1st Reflection)
1 Front-top left Tri-Corner
1 Back-top left Tri-Corner

=13 in total.
Room is even smaller now!

Blown all my cash for the summer. Dont even have monitors! Cukoo.

with them being all HF, and having that much foam, you don't find it too dead?

Here are my traps. I know I should angle the trap in the right corner for better results. I also have a trap acting as a cloud over the mixing position & one in the back corner.
