| control surfaces/interface I'm about to purchase PTLE for use at home. My PC is XP Pro, SP2, 3.2 Gig HD, 1 Gig memory, 120 Gig 7200 rpm HD. I have checked all specs on my computer, and they meet or exceed the requirements by Digidesign. I'm an old analog guy and would like to do several tasks in PT. First, I have some 2 track tapes, demos, I'd like to dump into PT and work with. I own a Triton Studio, and by trade am a drummer, so I'll be doing some live drumming. I write songs, and want to incorporate all I have to produce songs. Also, I have some old 45's my group recorded in the 60's I'd like to dump them into PT and play with them. I've looked at the Digidesign 003 Factory, 003 Rack Factory, and the M audio Project Mix I/O. I am planning on buying an external HD too. I'd like to get some pros and cons on the interfaces/control surfaces. I know the 003 can only be used for PT, where as the M Audio can be used for other DAW's. Please send info, suggestions. Thanks |
