Is there any use at all for low density rockwool

Iv'e just been given a few rolls of loft-insulation type rockwool. I've already got a few home made RW3 based bass traps but more is always better. Is there any use at all in using this low density stuff - maybe as corner 'superchunks' ? ........ethan ?

If you make it thick enough it will work pretty well for bass trapping. Also you could use it for reflection points in the room

As Glenn said, when fluffy fiberglass is thick enough it works well. But you need a foot thick or more to get close to the performance of the rigid types.

You can make tube traps. I have tube traps which use low density glass fiber compressed between two metal nets. The design is much more complicated than in SuperChunk though. Dunno if it's worth the hassle.

Yes, for growing hydroponic plants. Not sure what type of plants they could be, but rockwool provides a place for the roots on which to attach.
