Thread Starter | AudioFire2 Issue
Having a simple issue with my new AudioFire2. It seems that the unit will not save the Nominal Level setting. I've tested this in many different ways and it boils down to this: After installing drivers, I plug in the firewire. I open the AudioFire console. I change the Nominal Level on the inputs to -10. I close the console and a message reads "Updating flash memory," so the settings should be saved. I unplug the firewire and power off the AudioFire2 unit. Next time I plug in the AudioFire2 unit, and listen through the headphones, the input level is much lower than it was during that previous session (sounding as though the nominal level is set at +4). I plug in the firewire and open the AudioFire Console. The Nominal level on the ins reads -10, but the input meter is peaking in the middle. I click on Nominal Level and switch it to +4 and there is no change in sound or the meter. I click on Nominal Level again, switching it back to -10 ..... and the problem is solved, input volume is back to normal in the headphones and the input meter in the console peaks at the top. So I close the console, but when I power down the AudioFire2 unit and then start it up again ..... exact same thing. This is driving me nuts. This is the second unit that has done the very same thing. I am using the most current drivers available. I've contacted Echo tech support and I am hopeful that we can find a resolution, but I thought I might get some help/ideas from you guys. Anything? Thanks. GreyMantis
