Who certifies Gold (Sales of more than 500,000 units) video games?

My band Supermercado has a song "Ditch Kitty" on the soundtrack of Flat Out Ultimate Carnage.
www.flatoutgame.com
The game recently went Gold according to the publisher Bugbear.
I wondering if there are certified gold plaques like gold RIAA records?
I’ve searched and can’t find any answers?
It would seem the big companies must have sluty plaques made, don’t they?
I would like some bling in my studio, that would be nice.
Thanks!

Hi Matt, I think that if the game had a separately available soundtrack that went certified gold, then you'd be able to buy one of those nice wall plaques from the RIAA.

LOL.....

"Going Gold" in the Video Game World means that the game has locked code and has shipped for manufacturing. NOT the amountof units sold.

There is no "Certification" company like the RIAA that gives plaques for game sales. Trust me, I have worked on over 100 games in 14 years and I have zero plaques. Sorry if I crushed any dreams out there.

Yeah, your crushing my dreams, ha!
Allready took down the plaque of my band that fired me a few years ago, but I guess I'll have to put it back up!
I recently had a client who is in the video game industry, and with a bit of research he gave me the bad news.
I'm wondering why the industry wouldn't have any plaques like that, sure would look good in the head guys office.
Thanks for the replies!
