I maintain that those dudes are bozos. if that makes me somehow inadequate, unfulfilled or unsuccessful in your eyes, thats cool... I suppose that I'll somehow manage to still get to sleep tonight.

My favorite part is when the guy explains that after spending a year mixing a song, they had to let go on their perfectionism and settle for being great instead. So try to sleep on that, hangman! They're not perfect, but they're great, if they do say so themselves!

The world will be a better place when their leer jet crashes. Vanilla Ice was the biggest in the world at one point too. No one is jealous of him. I think Linkin Park is one of those bands that people will admit (10 years from now) that they are embarrassed to listen to. Right now they're hot, but in ten years they will be about as timeless as Vanilla Ice. I don't care how many records they've sold. They suck. If we measured greatness purely on record sales, we would be doomed. Billy Ray Cyrus sold a lot of records too. I just think it's a waste to watch Andy Wallace mix such crap.

Their music is the same formula every time. They have like 10 guitars and 5 unison vocals going on during the chorus. Then they have some upper middle class white rapper talk about really positive cliche crap during the verse. He raps like he has gone through struggles or something. "Yeah, when I was younger I wanted a Benz, but my parents bought me a Honda instead. I have struggles yo." I never liked it when 311 did it. Linkin Park does it worse. The thing about the rapping that pisses me off the most is that it's in an insult to rap in general. Whether you like rap or not, we can all agree that it came from underpriveledged black neighborhoods and (like the blues) was about trying to make something out of nothing and promoted expression from the soul. When I hear the "rapper" in Linkin Park rap, I want to vomit. I want to punch them. I want to punch their fans even more. How do you egg on a turd? You actually buy Linkin Park records and are straight? Are you sure you can listen to a verse of a Linkin Park song, like it, and not make out with other men? Yes, I went there. Die hard Linkin Park fans suck. You actually keep that band is business simply by having no taste.

Wow a lot of hate. I don't listen to their music, but these are some of the nicest guys in the biz. No need to get that worked about people that are making a living rocking out.

Not so! Linkin Park is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Hey, my wife makes me eat green vegetables and organic baked tortilla chips and stuff like that...

But sometimes I like to chow down on a Twinkie, some Doritos, and a Classic Coke. No shame!

Same with Linkin Park. Sometimes it's fun to eat some junk food. Chill out, dude!

Great video - thanks for posting.

I think what people (me included) don't like about them is that the music has a tons of producing, mixing, processing on it but lacks in the songwriting department. And that, after all, is the important part. Imagine Linkin Park Unplugged. Compare that to Nirvana. Know what I mean?

No argument here. As I posted - it's musical junk food. And who honestly doesn't have at least one music junk food indulgence? Come on now, be honest!

I've heard they're good guys. Become a huge band member within 3 months and see how you do.

I, for one, enjoy LP's first album. I enjoy their second as well to a lesser extent (heard the idea before but decent tunes that still rock IMO). So... I guess I'm an idiot to some of you here.

I was a bit over board. But I think my point is there. I'm sure they're great guys. That doesn't make their music any better. I'm sure Barry Manilow is a nice guy too. I do like calling them "junk" food though. Nice comparison. You proved my point. They are not a Ribeye.

Yeah, that was a pretty funny tirade. But I also liked their first album. Kind of goes that way for a lot of bands since the mid 90s... no staying power. I usually dig the first album if there's any originality whatsoever, but then most of the time the next album sucks or sounds too much like the first.

Yeah, you're right. I'm probably ranting to the wrong crowd. I doubt there are 14 year old boys (Linkin Park's main fans) here on this site.

As far as guilty pleasures go. I do find myself listening to bad music that was recorded well. It's the engineer in me that listens to a polished turd. But I'm not listening to the song. I'm listening to the engineer.

im not into em, but calling 'em ******s seems a bit excessive. They dont seem like a bad bunch - ive not worked with them though.

Ah well each to there own.... there just a band doing their thing, if you dont like em, dont listen. they're not responsible for any individuals success or lack of therein.....

for all you cynics....negativity will kill your career.... you dont have to like everything (that;d be stupid) but there certainly aint no need to call people shits who you dont know - that is unless you DO know them ... that'd be a different tale..
