Guitar and Drums on Wolfmother

I find myself still liking the mix on Wolfmother - Wolfmother.
Sure, it's loud, the drums are mixed pretty one-dimensional and the bass doesn't seem very deep at times, but I really like how the guitars work in tracks like "minds eye" or "dimension".
And I really don't care if it's a forum's favorite, but maybe anyone has some specifics on how it was mixed and recorded, especially what work has been done on drums and how the stereo image of the rythm guitars was achieved.

I find myself with the dauting task to mix a couple of songs that have been, and I shit you not, recorded exclusively with Sm58. Like, everything.
And this might be sound I am going for.

Any ideas?
