This is my first post! I've been reading Gearslutz religiously for almost a year now. I am addicted.

I own a Toft ATB-24. I've only recorded 2 projects on it so far, but I love the pres on drums and bass and think they are totally usable. I didn't like them on electric guitars, though. It made them soud a bit midrangey and harsh, but if experimented with more mic substitutions, they probably would have been usable. I am not using the pres for "star quality vocals" or significant overdubs (I am using outboard instead), but for basic tracking, the pres are excellent.

Yeah, I agree with Rappy. They really shine on drums, can work for more modern bass sounds and don't impress me on e. guitars. I don't think anyone has bought one solely for the preamps and nobody is complaining about the console as a whole.

Hmm... does it use similar component and design as Toft AFC-2?
