You had to ask about the monitors. :( LOLOL Behrengers. There ok but that's the next financial assault.

The LTD-1 and the Distressors are the balls of the rig!!! Both are fat and intense.

We put up all that aurolex last night. So today I'm sitting in the studio listening to music and I'm amazed at the sounds that I've never heard before in songs I've listened to a thousand times. It's incredible! people have been telling me that treating the room would be huge but I never fully understood till now. I'm listening to the 3 Doors Down song 'When I'm Gone' and I can hear what sounds like a machine engaging or something in the beginning... I'm diggin' the new room!

Looks nice. If you can't swing the $$$$ right now for super pricey monitors I would sell one of the Les Pauls and buy a pair of Dynaudio BM6As. I think they would make a bigger difference than having a backup LP, if its not an "untouchable".

How much are they? I think I could swing a pair without selling one of my children...

You know what's funny. With all the stuff in my studio when ever new clients comes over they all say the same thing "WOW you have 2 Avalons". There something about the look of those pres that people like. Just an observation.

Yeah- that is funny, James! In my friend James' studio, which is just a basement type deal, we've got an M5 (his) and a U5 (mine) and people who don't know anything about audio come in there, look at them and flip. Well, they are sexy units and they sound pretty damn decent- but these people would probably be just as impressed with a Mackie mixer as long as it was giant ;-)

I've got two racked Avalon U5s and everyone gravitates towards them too. They're like, "Ooh shiny". Bleh.

I used to have an Orville sitting right below em which is the shiniest piece of gear ever and people still said, "Whoa you got AVALONS!".

Too many rap videos!
