| Peavey classic 50 - Head - TUBES???!! I own a Peavey classic 50 head that is loaded with JJs. I have found particularly that the AX7 JJs in the preamp section of the amp sound lifeless and mushy, even after putting new JJs in there! What tubes work best in this amp for you? I'll get NOS....anything but these JJs. I am not sure if the EL-84s are fine or not, but the AX7s have to go! I have heard that the Tung Sol reissue tubes are some of the best AX7s made today......any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance! JT Milhorat Zythum Studios
