| go ahead and try to slove this one.... okay so im right now in the middle of setting up a project studio to a place other then my stupid attic anyway this calls for lots of upgrades, i purchased a firestudio to record drums and to use as my interface to cubase 4, Im planning on splitting the retangle, wooden room to create a control and live room. I plan on treating each room appropiratley....so heres my problem.... right now i need a new preamp (upgrading from a Eureka) My mics are a Sterling Audio 77, a Groove Tubes 55 and im pretty sure im going to buy an sm7b....i want the new pre now but i cannot decide what to get...since im spending so much on other things im trying to avoid buying an LA-610 (becasue thats what i had my eyes on) so my question is if i skip out of spending 1500 on the LA will i be dissapointed if i buy a Blue robbie or a Grace Design 101 or a Solo 610 or 110...If i could i would love to buy the robbie but will i just be upgrading that in a year because im not satisfied? please help me figure somthing out..thanks guys |

| Wouldn't you get more for your money buying something second hand? (obviously be careful with any on line transaction etc)

| It all depends on what you are going to be using it on...I would wait and make sure your rooms are killer first for this is far more important to acheiving a good sound! |
