New Outboard, Tips and Tricks?

After getting an analogue desk again I've been on a bit of a spending spree and got,

Sony R7
Roland SRV-330
Yamaha Rev500
Bel BD80S
Symetrix 606
Lexicon PCM70

I know they are all pretty cheap FX and I will augment/replace some of them with better when funds allow. I will give them all a good workout before deciding what to keep and what to get rid of. I put in really low bids on eBay expecting to get maybe just a few of them but ended up winning the lot for what I think are pretty low prices! There just doesn't seem to be much interest in outboard FX at the moment.

Anybody got any tips and tricks for any of that gear. Things they are strong at, things they are weak at, any favourite algorithms/presets, any odd quirks to watch out for?
