Tascam 488 MKII Porta studio manual? Anybody got one?

EDIT: Thanks to Mike of Evil Guitars the manual now can be downloaded from his website:

www.evilguitars.com/stuff/488mkIImanual.pdf

EDIT: The manual can also be downloaded curtesy of lamedriver here:

http://lcmrrecords.org/488mkII_manual.pdf

I decided to go back to the roots and screw around with tape a little. Dug out my old Tascam 488 and found out the output was busted. I figured fixin' it wasn't worth it, so I bought a 488 MKII on ebay. Unfortunately it didn't come with the manual and I can't find my old 488's manual either. And I don't remember how to work it - there are various Cue, Tape, whatever switches, and it's important to know what they do. So... Does anyone have a manual for a 488 MKII? Or at least for a 488? If you could scan it into a .pdf and e-mail it to me, that would be outstanding! Thanks much!

That would be super awesome!!! I appreciate it, man!

In the meantime if anyone else has got one, please let me know. Just in case RusRant can't find his.

You should be able to track down the manual in pdf format from the tascam site or somewhere else on the net.
Google is your friend

Thanks, I know. I already tried that (both Google and Tascam).

I did a good hours search myself, even through the tascam site. I found a couple of people selling copies of the manual for about $25 on eBay. No downloads anywhere.

Even did a "site:" search on tascam site and they don't have it there.

Holy crap! Here I am starting my search today and I find this thread still active! It would be totally awesome if, azzzzy, you could email me a copy, too! I'm trying to figure out the 'sync' function...

Thanks!!

Done.

Um... It would be great if somebody who has some web space could post up the manual for other people to download it when they need it. So if anyone has web storage I will gladly donate the pdf file of the scanned manual for everybody to download.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

I was thinking the same thing about hosting it somewhere... unfortunately I don't have the resources for that... I can only think of the free file sharing services (like putfile and sendspace) but unfortunately those are only temporary.

Well, I don't mind sending it individually - after all it's not like it happens daily. RusRant was kind enough to find it and scan it for me so I'm just passing the goodness along. But I think it would be easier for people to just go to the link and download it than to ask somebody to send it to them. So if anyone is up to the task... let me know.

I'd be happy to post the pdf on my website! Hope Azzzy and the rest of you who've been passing it around via email are still checking this...I think it deserves a free home on the web but there doesnt appear to be one. Plus, I just got one of these myself and the manual would be a big boost -- pm me lamedrivers at gggggggggggggggggmail and ill post asap, then add a link to this thread

Thanks, lamedriver. I posted your link in the first post as well. I think the public's needs for the manual should be covered for now.
