Thread Starter | Ryan Adams "Gold" - Anyone have info on this?
I believe this to be one of the most amazing recordings ever. I'm just wondering if there's some info I missed. The drums, acoustic/electric guits and vocals are just amazing to say nothing of the production. All of thepictures I've seen of the drum set-ups feature minimalist mic sets but the drums are so huge and present on that record, I would be amazed if it were 3-4 mics. Is Ethan Johns a Neve-head or are there other go-tos for that guy? |

Yeah, that's a great one, so is Cold Roses. From what I've heard Ethan is a Neve, EMI, API guy. If you like the sound of those records you should get Wilco's new one "Sky Blue Sky" asap -- it's basically breathtaking.  |
