Thread Starter | Mesa Send to PODXTPro Return, POD XTPro Send to Mesa Return. Will It Work Or What?
Hello all, I have this nagging problem that I just can't fix. Im doing a home recording and were about to record guitars. We borrowed a friends mesa dual rectifier solo head and were having the hardest time trying to get our POD XT Pro to work with the effect sends and return of the mesa. Im tying to use the pod for effects but have all cleans and distortions come from the mesa. If anyone can help or has any suggestion it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure about the XT-Pro, but as I recall, on the old POD, preset #1 had no amp model and you could run the effects only. Try it in the Effects loop. I toured for a while using a POD as my preamp, feeding the effects return of a Marshall JCM 900. The setup was a dream, but the tone suffered. Now I fly out w/ a pedal board and leave the POD at home. Hope this helps.

hey man, what you could try and do is run the preamp model on the pod, disable speaker simulation etc, and plug into the fx return of your mesa. the mesa duals etc have parallel loops, so this may be your issue. z |
