Please help! I need a High end preamp for R&B, pop and Hiphop

Hi!!thumbsup

I really need a excellent 1 channel preamp for recording R&B, pop and Hiphop. I want a preamp which will give me this BIG, creamy and sweet vox sound and still maintain its definition. I also want to use it to pass keys, kicks etc. through it but the main focus is on vocals. Can anyone advice me a preamp? Budget is around 1200. (1 ch) Advice is very appreciated! Thanks!! Cheers.

It's the Great River ME1NV you're after.

What about A Designs or the LA/610? Will that give me a similar sound?

Can anyone comment on the LA-610? Will this pre give me this sound?

I can not comment on that one, but I have never heard that this is the go to pre for RnB and Hip Hop! Do not want to blame that one, but perhaps there may be better choices!!!

Big, creammy, sweet and detailed.... sounds like tweaking your substance intake may help - perception is everything......

The MP1A A Designs preamp sounds like a good candidate also.

The LA610 I find to be a nice channel strip, I've borrowed 2 on separate occassions and found them to be quite nice.
