Thread Starter | MOTU 24i/o sync problem? I have installed the Motu pci 424 card and 24 i/o I ordered some weeks ago (I was waiting for my Trident 8t to arrive. It did yesterday). I work with PC, windows xp. I have some problems with it: - Firts of all, it was very difficult to get the 24 i/o synced with the PCI card. The manual says to use Audiowire 1 if only 1 device is attached. But I only succeed in getting it synced using audiowire 3. - There is a distortion on all audio played. That is the case in Cubase, wavelab and Windows audio player. I suppose it is a sync problem? There's the typical fireplace-alike sounds in my cubase softwaremonitoring. I alreaddy downloaded the latest drivers at the motu site. There is also the Are these problems familiar to someone? Last edited by upperlip; 19th May 2007 at 04:32 PM.. Reason: addition |

Hi First of all try to re-insert the PCI-424 in the slot just in case it doesn't sit properly in there (as far as I remember I have had this problem once ). If that doesn't cure the problem try to install the card in different PCI slots (MOTU suggests putting the card in a slot where the audio stream has it's own bus i.e. does not share the same bus with any other PCI card). Therefore you have to check your motherboard's configuration . And of course before you touch the PCI card uncharge yourself from any static electricity by touching the computer's chassis while this is plugged to the mains . Hope that helps. |
