What's the vocal chain on 'Dirt' and 'Facelift'?

I have studio shots and the mic is clearly a silver U87.

Brilliant title. One of the best. The simplicity of it, yet so clever, says it all!
Cracks me up. Too bad I don't have an answer. But a great title! thumbsup

Dave Jerden did those albums. I'll ask him if I can find the number. I'll have to call Gary and get his number.

Brett Eliason did "Mad Season" and he spoke so highly of Layne. He said his talent was unreal. He would walk in, listen to a song idea, arrange it, and cut the vocal the first time he sang out loud. Brett was totally blown away by him.

Dirt, Jar of Flies, and Mad Season are simply beautiful records.

Layne has one of the best voices in rock and roll, instantly recognizable.

I really miss this band.

AIC VC

sorry to hijack but
everyone see Live At The More?
Incredible!
that album is in my top 5 btw(not that anyone cares )

i think Lane could sing though a vocal chain resembling this
tin can-> string->encoded straight to mp3

and still have me in awe

Good Day

I believe those were all tracked @ London Bridge Studio. My guess would be that they used the pres in the Neve 8048.
