Irish slutz........where are you?

I already know of a few personally. There must be more. I'm in Dun Laoghaire, sth. Dublin. Where are you?

Stand forward and be counted....

Aha, an Irish slutz thread!

I'm running a little studio in an old country house, in a corner of Meath near Kinnegad.

How are you doing these days, Hamlet? You might remember me from my previous life in CTI - I was the DAW/PT guy...

Hey Frank!! I remember alright. You rescued that girl band session I had corrupted in a power failure, right?! That was hell.
I'm all good thanks. Getting back into making music properly again after a rather long break. I really should know better.

So you're in good old Kinnegad. Is that sweet shop with the old ladies and the unfeasibly large selection of penny sweets still there? It was always my highlight on the road to Galway. How is the studio going for you?

Robbiesolutions: Tell us more. Where in Ireland are you from and what has you in Hove?

hmmm, I have a friend that owns a modest but brilliant little project studio in Glasnevin, Dublin.

I was also recently over in Meath (Trim to be exact) getting drunk and playing trad music.

Roll on the Scottish Gearslutz thread...

For 6 1/2 years, I was in a band with 2 lads from Dun Laoghaire. Toured over there and played on the Gay Byrne Late Late show. Does that count?

I'm a hobby Celt, going for master degree on Irish language and culture; does that count for something?

Shouldn't we all... Hope it's going well for you!

The one beside the traffic lights? Yes, it's still there, but the old ladies don't run it these days. The studio's going pretty well actually. Between sessions here and another studio I work in, plus a few gigs here and there, I have enough work to keep things ticking over. Gear lust is a dangerous thing though!

I'm with that...
I'd love to see the country and hang out for a couple of sessions up there, sometime. That's business and pleasure.

Hi Hamlet - Nice thread. Still on for a pint on Friday night?

I am proud to pop in on Government election day to say Hi to our fellow Paddys.

I have a home studio setup in Dalkey, but about to move to Blackrock (aaghhh, not moving the studio again....) - both South County Dublin.

Hi Johnny_FX - great company you are working for. Love BFD and the VST wrapper has changed many a life!

Dr. Funk, I hate to say it, but I bypass Kinnegad these days on my frequent trips to Mayo due to new mr. super-highway, but my wife has family from nearby.

Simon.

PLASTIC PADDY ALERT!!

Only messing Ruudman. You probably speak better Irish than I do. In fact I could probably understand you in your own language more than I could in Irish! (Jeg har boede i Danmark og jeg snakker en lidt Dansk).
