Looking for a versatile but neve'ish sounding, dual mic pre. What is ya'all's take on these three if you could only get one? BTW- right now I have a decent list of mics but only have the RME FF800's pres to use on projects. My main vocal mic that I use alot is th Peluso 22 251. Thanks! |

just my opinion, but i would go for the Aurora GTQ2mkIII. it will sound more 'Neve-ish' than the dual-channel Chandler TG2 (the LTD-1 is single-channel with eq).. and you get sweet eq points as well with the Aurora.... not to mention Geoff Tanner is an awesome guy and fountain of knowledge and he frequents these boards often. happy hunting! ~j.d.

+1 for Aurora. A studio I worked in had two (labeled Phoenix GTQ-2) and the EQ is killer.
