Advice on buying an amp for NS-10's and HR824's

I'm also planning on buying a Mackie Big Knob. I'm just looking for any advice or input before I make any purchases.

Thanks.

Hr824's are powered, they don't need a seperate amp like a passive NS10 would. I have always had good luck with Hafler amps for studio monitors but I am sure there are a ton of choices and preferences from different folks out there.

There's a fashionable hate for gear here at GS. Now the new pissing pot is the Big Knob. I like mine. There's no difference in my mixes after having it in my studio. So, no complains here.

About the NS10 (another hated piece around here), try the old ADCOMS. You can find them all the time in Ebay. Hit the search and you'll find hundreds of posts about the right amp for the Yamahas.

Good luck.

Spmething else: the HR824 and the NS10 complement each other very nicely!

Bryston...

For my money, there is only one amp for NS10's.
Bryston. If you can get a 4B.
The difference is night and day with the right amp.

Those things are $700 plus shipping. That's still a lot of money.
