| Gear nut | Recording in an "L" shaped room.
There's no place on here to ask about tracking or mixing or anything, so hopefully this will be a fine forum to post in. So I'm about to record my band in our practice space. The thing is is that it's L shaped. I'm wondering where the best position will be to record things. Here's an example of how the drums are set up now: ![]() (yellow lines are doors, blue area is the drum set space, black lines are stairs) I'm wondering if this will cause problems since one half of the drum set points to the larger opening and the other will be reflecting off the closer wall first? How would you position the drums, as well as guitar amps for recording in a place like this? Opinions? |
