Arturia MiniMoog V

Things have come a long way in the world of DSP.
This is one of the most impressive emulations I've heard to date.

Anyone else try this out; what were your thoughts?
Has anyone compared this to the Creamware Mini emulation?

The demo is available here.

Cheers!

It would be a good idea to compare it first to a minimoog

cheers,

Jerome

If they post a playable demo, I'll do a side-by-side with the Creamware Minimax and post the results.....

Ok did the side by side....

Here is the file:

http://www.planetz.com/Pulsar/files/...TestBounce.mp3

some short sequences to compare the sound of each. 1st repetition is always the Minimax....second is the Arturia.

I tried to match all settings / levels as close as possible....to facilitate, I used Max/Min values whenever possible.

Here are my overall conclusions.

1. Arturia did a great job. Really. I have to commend them. Good emulation.

2. Minimax sounds different than the Minimoog V, which I am sure sounds different than any one actual Minimoog.

3. I like the filter on Minimax better....but that may just be me. I feel like there is some presence on the Minimax that the Arturia model just didn't have....I also feel the envelopes are faster. But again, to each his own.

4. Either would be money well spent. :D

Cheers
