can ADAT be split to multiple spdif pairs?

Forgive me for what is probably a stupid question, but I have an 8ch D/A converter and I'm thinking about adding another 2-4 channels of D/A to my rig.

My 16-channel adat PC card is sending 8ch to the first D/A, and I was wondering if I can send the other 8ch of ADAT to, say, 1 or more DAC-1's (uses 2ch spdif/oslink input). Any thoughts on whether I can split the 8ch ADAT into 4 prs of spdif?

thanks
