Hi... just started using max MSP lately and am getting quite interested in it. Just wondering about other peoples thoughts on it?

My friend is quite excited into it and we did interesting live interactive music project using MAX MSP. Though I did only samples, sound and some analog fx onstage...

i've got no hesitation in saying that it is the best modular software available for audio and midi. and it is especially cool for algoritmic composing and interactive music. but then again i don't like it all the way cos is still prefer c++.

on the live side of things, for control - samples fx etc - i can really see its advantages. for synth/audio stuff i would have thought reaktor would have been head of the bunch as a good all round aproach?saying that i use csound and c++ quite a bit because of the TOTAL control factor. any thoughts on the reaktor comparison?
