Want to upgrade from Tannoy Reveals...what next?

I want to upgrade from my active reveals buy there are so many boutique nearfield audio manufactuers that I need some help and some suggestions. I would like to buy used and not spend more than $1000 for the pair. thanks.

There's tons of info around here on the subject. Do a search and you'll get all the opinions you could hope to read.
FWIW, I use Tannoy Reveal passives and recently got the Dynaudio BM6 passives. I use Hafler amps with both.
I got the passive Dyns for about $1200us including a Hafler P3000 amp. The active Dynaudio BM6a's are about $1500us.
They are great little monitors. I still use the Reveals because I know them well but the Dyns give me a whole new "look" into my mixes. Definitely should be on your list and they are a big step up from the Reveals.

I ended up with the BlueSky, Sky System One 2.1. It's an active satellite/sub system if you think that might be up your ally. You might be able to get them used for close to your number. Giant leap up from the Reveals I'd been working with. I'm very, very pleased with them!
