Hello, I recently purchased an MBox2 Pro Ignition pack with ProTools 7.0, Symetrix 528E Voice Processor, Mackie 1202-VLZ Pro and an EV-RE27 mic. I am setting this system up to do voiceover work strictly. Can anyone provide me with how I am to hook all the equipment up to achieve the correct and most advantageous recording when using the system? More specifically, can you describe the sequence as how to setup the system and what jacks are used going from one piece of equipment to the other and then to the next piece? I have read the manuals but am still confused. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks, crusso <!-- / message -->

VO-Guy Gear maniac Joined: Jun 2005 Location: Canton NC Posts: 216	Crusso, I do VO work as well and the setup is simple. The simplest setup is to leave the mackie out of the equation. If your just doing VO, you don't need it. Mic>Symetrix>Mbox2>monitors plug into the MON OUTs on the Mbox2. You really don't need the Mackie. Connectons... Mic to Syemtrix- XLR to XLR mic cable to input of Symetrix. Symetrix to Mbox2- XLR to 1/4 TRS for input from Symetrix to Mbox2. Go into a line in on the Mbox2 and you'll bypass it's pres. Monitors- 1/4 inch TRS on both ends to Monitors If you want to use the Mackie just go from the Symetrix to the Mackie 1/4 inch and the Mackie goes to the Mbox2. Hope this helps.
