Thread Starter | Got an EV RE16! Lower sensitivity from sm57??
The RE16 sounds great but I can see that it has much lower output and sensitivity from my old SM57. Is that normal??

| The RE16 is kinda a different animal. You don't get proximity effect and there is a thick blast sheild on it. Mic sensitivity is what it is - that's why God gave you a gain trim on your pre-amp. -tINY |

Thank you for your reply. I am pretty inexperienced and by an a/b test in a crappy mixer the RE16 has a much lower sensitivity but it definitely sounds cool! |
