R.I.P Rat Shack phone flasher

Anyone here know what I'm talking about? It is/was a little box with an amber light that plugged into the phone line and would light up when the phone rings. I need to pick up another one and I went to three different Rat Shack's before I found someone who knew what it was and he told me that it had been discontinued about a year ago.

grudge

Since I still need one does anyone know of anything similar? The Shack's replacement is about twice as much as the old one, needs power from the wall, has a white light and is about the size of a small brick which means it's too damn big to place on top of the console or the monitors. I'd love to find what I have...

I have one of those cheap see-thru phones- the kind where you can see all the guts.

It has a built in light and a switch for the ringer.

I see them around for really cheap $10 - 15

a nice bright strobe flasher
is about $20

or you couldbuild your own

The strobe thing is totally perfect. I don't want to / can't get a new phone unless it's a two line deal... Plus given the way a phone gets abused in the studio I'd be replacing a cheap phone every few weeks. In the last few months I've seen it take many a nose dive, half a packet of honey mustard and at least one cup of coffee.
