ADAT SPDIF converter? The Fireface 800 does not allow to SPDIF I/O at the same time. You have the option for an SPDIF with one or two ADAT's. This is a big limitation IMO. Any way to use the 2nd ADAT connection to send/receive SPDIF (in other words, only using 2 of the 8 ADAT channels). Are there any format converters that would work for this purpose?

Alesis AI-1, M-Audio SAM, RME ADI-2 are some that come mind.

Thanks. It would just need to a conduit of information, staying in the digital realm. It does not need to have A/D or D/A conversion. The M-Audio SAM is no longer sold. I couldn't find the Alesis unit either. The RME unit is more than it needs to be. I was hoping to keep this relatively cheap.
