it's worth taking a walk down Denmark Street - but be prepared for the over inflated prices

If you plan to go to London to get some "hot deals" on vintage English gear then bring a big wallet full of cash. London is by far one of the most expensive cities I've ever been to by gear, actually all of my UK buddies buy vintage stuff when they come to visit here in Germany. Just a warning in case you think you can jump of the plane, head off to the city centre looking for "ye ol' vintage slutz shoppe".

Turnkey at Charing Cross Road (very close to Denmark st.) sometimes has some nice analog synths. Not second hand though but you should check it out anyway imo.

I'd have to say don't waste your time going to Turnkey. Poor shopping/browsing experience. Shocking service.
I've just worked with a producer who has been hugely f$%!ed around while trying to spend £15,000 on a NEW desk (3 times they sent him a second-hand one).
KMR are great retaliers imo

Sorry, I don't have any useful suggestions for places to visit (National Portrait Gallery?)

I was there in January, Denmark street - never seen such a small street packed with so many music stores

Turnkey was cool (just for browsing) at all the keyboards and synths downstairs.
Wouldn't bother trying to buy something thou i stood there for a good 30mins without being served so i left.

For a great high end gear store, Nikki up at KMR is a champ! train it to Totteridge & Whetstone, then walk back up the
hill and turn left and follow that road, it'll be on the same side.
P.S don't forget to buy an all zones ticket! i did that mistake and couldnt get out of the station.

Never got out to Funky Junk, but that would probably be worth checking out for secondhand stuff.

p.s have a good time! and atleast check out abbey rd.

if you like old guitars...try Vintage & Rare Guitars in Denmark St...prices are over the top, but it's a nice shop and the staff are cool..

The clue is to look disorientated and speak with/fake a bad accent..(not Middle Eastern perhaps)...
I've done that once, and I wasn't acting either
