Small room vs Big Room for close micing

Hi guys,
Is there any difference in sound when you use a small room for close micing than using a big one?
I am talking about single mic technique.
Is there a chance if you record an ac.guitar in a big room to have more clarity, body and dimention than using a small one?

thank you all

Yes, room size will have an affect. Will you like it? Will it suit the song? Those are completely subjective. Anytime you use a mic, the room comes into play to some (greater or lesser) degree. The more mics you have up, the more the room comes into play. Experimentation will be the only thing that will give you the answer you seek. Good luck and try different things that you might not think will work well. You may be surprised!

I find that untreated small rooms are a real pain in the ass to record in. There is so much phase cancelation and weird room reflections even when close mic-ing. With that said, I love a small treated room for dry upfront sounding instruments and voices.

Don't forget about the floor...

Sometimes you get better sound by lifting the speaker off the floor....

Yeah, small rooms affect the recording when close micing - especially low frequencies.

Just recorded some elect guit tracks.....multiple amps....small room...amps on chairs and such.
Was outside the room laying on my back (I'm old..bad back) listening to the blended sound and was amazed at how much bass was hitting me at that level.
