Digital Performer 4 or 5?

I am running 4.6 on a dual CPU g4 loaded with ram and 10.3.9. is there a huge difference between DP 4 and 5? is it worth the upgrade?

my hardware consists of MOTU 2408 III, Traveler, Digi 888/24, ADAT Bridge and i am doing mostly bands in the studio.

2 questions

is your rig stable?

do you need more software instruments

if your stable and you don't need VIs then skip the upgrade, if your not stable and/or you do need VIs the go for it.

the rest of the new features were for me not big ones, like track folders, I don't use, meter bridge is cool, but not much use for me as I don't have a large studio running lots if tracks in/out.

If it's stable, I'd hold steady and not upgrade. Generally speaking, I've found DP5.1 more stable than 4.6, HOWEVER, it's still very buggy and crashes for no reason and pisses me off more than all my other gear and software combined - and that's saying a lot. I'm using it with PTHD hardware if that matters.
