What's your favourite soft synth?

What soft synth do you like most and why? Especially from those who have tried a few of them.

I still really like the Moog Modular because it's really fat, and I also like impOSCar.

Also, the real modulars and OSCars are kinda hard to find.

My favorite right now is Massive. I wanted not to like it, but the interface, ease, versatility, and sounds are great. Couldn't beat it at $250.
I really like Zebra 2, but it is more complicated learning.
Absynth 4 for hallucinogenic pads.

Gotta say, I somehow don't like the sound of specrtasonics stuffs, trilogy's bass guitars are alright if you dont have a real one, rmx is boring, atmo.. don't know how to put it, it seems that all these have certain sound coloration that I don't like...
My all time favourite vsti is synth1. It's a free(!) synth written by some japanese dude, I love it's sound, it not funny colored or anything... It's got pretty basic gui, which I respect, I think many vst things has too much gui and too little sound.
.. just my humble opinion....

I like Reaktor for sample-mangling weirdness and Kontakt for sample-playback weirdness. Also Battery for drums.

I absolutely love NI Massive, and Spectrasonics Atmosphere. Two really great pieces of software.
