Thread Starter | compressor choices So. I'm new here and the main reason for joining is to ask this question... I'm looking to buy a 2 channel compressor/gate, something that doesn't "chatter", and in my budget are basically three choices: Focusrite Compounder Drawmer MX30 Aphex 240 I'll be using this for comp/gating of kick and snare for live foh running through the inserts of whatever board I'm finding myself in front of night to night. Anyone have any live experience with these? On a related note, I'm also looking for a good transparent 4 channel comp/limiter for live vocals, current considerations are the Drawmer DL441 and the Klark Teknik DN504... any suggestions? | Of those three listed I'd go with the Drawmer. Another one to look at is the Toft DC-2. We've been using them in the studio and they are quite good. No complaints at all. |
