Free mixing service-need tracks

OK,
Just set up a new studio to do my own work at and I need some test work to make sure the room is up to par. So far so good, but we are currently tracking only. As we are tracking what we will mix, I would like to mix a few tracks I have not tracked myself. So here's the pitch. I need tracks. I will mix them, free of charge and mail you the mixes I do. You are welcome to do with them as you wish. I don't even need a credit if they are used, I would appreciate it, but thats up to you . I will put this in writing if needed. The studio is based around a PC based DAW and I mainly mix ITB. We have a nice plugin assortment as well as a small collection of nice outboard gear. Great monitoring setup as well as having access to additional gear if needed. For these mixes, we will be primarily mixing ITB. This is not a commercial studio in the business sense, but could be gear and design wise. If anyone is interested or has any questions, please PM me and I'll follow up.

Oh, and feel free to ask any questions. In exchange for the mixes I would request your feedback on the mixes I do. The room has been designed and tuned and sounds fantastic, but I want to test the mixes to verfy that they transfer well. A little background on myself, I have been working in the music and audio world for 15+ years, am a multi instrumentalist, and have set this studio up for songwriting and my own work. I have worked with numerous local and regional acts and was a co-owner and producer for the former local indie label EMR. Yadda, yadda, etc, etc.

Ehrm... this is a community of pro and wanna-be-pro-one-day audio engineers and producers.
You might want to try a musicians forum for this sort of stuff.

Good luck in your quest.

Yep, I'm aware of this. Thats why I'm offering here as I'm looking for opinions of the mixes I'm offering. I am trying to get comfortable in my new studio, as well as test if my mixes are translating well. I believe fellow engineers will be able to give better feedback on this. If someone really likes the mixes I give them, great. But if someone feels they can do it better, or hear an issue, please let me know. That's all I'm asking. This may also give someone a different perspective on something their working on. I could offer this on a musicians forum, but I don't think I'd get the same feedback.

what kind of music do you normally do (or would like to mix)?

would tracks from logic express be ok or would it need to be protools?

you could post mixes of some stuff you tracked and get opinions. I'd be more than willing to listen to some of your stuff. Though I'm not so willing to send out the basic tracks of my clients.

I've worked on just about every kind of music at one time or another, but prefer rock, blues and jazz. I am working in Sony Vegas. Render tracks to begin at the same spot and I can load them in Vegas. I do have access to Protools, but would be easier to start this way.

I understand your feelings on this. I would submit my own mixes, and most likely will do so, but have not yet mixed any tracks in this new studio. When I do, I probably will post a few. I am offering this for the feedback, and hopefully it will benefit somebody by giving them a different view or perspective on their tracks. If this isn't something that you feel comfortable with, or feel would be beneficial, I understand. There are a lot of professionals here, and I am not asking anyone to liable themselves for this.

So during the working on of all these different types of music, you haven't managed to keep the multi-tracks from any of these sessions?

Just a little confused.

You have multitracks that you've made at the new studio, but haven't mixed at the new studio? And instead of mixing them, you prefer to mix others' stuff for free for feedback?

Clarification is necessary

We are in the very early preproduction stages for a new CD at this time. It's going to be a little while before we have anything finished and ready to mix. As far as past masters, I do have several things, but as I tracked all of those. I'm looking for something I can have a fresh perspective on. Yes, I am trying to get some feedback on the mixes to test the new room. This isn't as far out as it may seem, I work this way all the time. Just usually not for free. But I figured it would give myself some feedback as well as someone a different perspective on something they are working on. With the interest I have received I guess I was right, but I understand it's not for everyone. I will gladly post some things we are working on once we get to the mixing stage. We are a ways off at this time though.
