Cedar A/D/A any good?

Anybody any experience with this Cedar A/D/A? It seems to be fairly inexpensive.

how much did you find it for--- it looks interesting

cedar makes excellent algorithms for restoration, i wouldn't expect them to make a cheep product for interfacing their gear to the analogue world

isn't that running around the same price as the benchmarks and the myteks?

It's about the same price as the Benchmarks yes, but this Cedar is AD and DA while the Benchmark DAC1 for example is only DA.
My dealer offered to try-out the Cedar, which i'll do as soon as my ordered MBox (for which i want better convertors) arrives.

Has anyone heard these things yet..?? I just spoke to Cedar and was told that their A/D/A is very much based on the corresponding Sonifex unit.

I decided to go with the DAC-1 at once, so haven't tried the Cedar. Reasons i choose for DAC-1 were: volume knob, headphone outs, and of course the fact that i don't really record stuff at my home place besides some synths now and then. (A/D less needed.) I use it for editing and mixing ITB mainly.

The Cedar still seems an interesting less then 1000euro solution for ppl who need both A/D and D/A.
