Try looking for strips made to control lighting -- I use a couple of "American DJ" strips, available (and inexpensive) at most of the big online music stores.

Why not spend a little extra and get a power conditioner that will safeguard your gear as well as improve your sound!!!

Hey I already have a power conditioner....what I am after is the ability to turn selective gear on and off...just was wondering if lighting rigs were the only way to go...

dj lighting racks are cheap and work well for what you're doing. i ended up picking up rack mount power strips typically used for computer server racks. i paid under $50 a piece and they have like 8 on the front and 8 on the back. i'm too tired to remember exactly but i think one of the brands i have is belkin. search at cdw and you should find it easily, then search around for the best prices. makes it so easy when you want to plug something in. it's a good and cheap addition that most any studio could benefit from.

Just bought some myself from MF for $29.00 per unit.

Since you have line conditioners and backup power, these work great.

I got a couple from a computer store a while back. 6 switches on the front, plus a master switch, outlets on the back. It's in a flat box, suitable for placing under a CRT monitor, but I have mine standing on end on the floor.
