Advice on studio upgrade

Ok so I'm on the cusp of a major upgrade, I've been using PT LE with an MCU. I was recently considering an upgrade to the Control24 after I had a chance to see how integrated the control24 was into PT. I'm a hands on person and I really hate still having to go to my mouse so much while using the MCU with PT.

I will admit one thing, I need I/O because I have a nice bit of outboard and prefer to track bands live, rather than overdub each instrument. If possible I would like to switch platforms to one that is better on my pocket book(maybe MOTU HD192's?) but I really want a control surface that will integrate into the DAW(whichever one I choose, maybe DP) almost just as well as the C24 does with Pro tools. I don't need pre-amps incorporated either, I have some nice ones that I use already.

anybody have any recommendations? I'm a little lost when it comes to this area since all I have used is Pro Tools since switching from my old 16 track.

Question: how well do you think the MCU works with PT LE? I don't mean to hi jack the thread, but have been thinking of a control surface for my PTLE rig...and for some reason like the MCU better than the control 8. Any thoughts?

The control 24 iss nice too, had a chance to use one a few times....unfortunately don't have the room or the cash for one!
