McDSP Plugins for Logic?

hi there.
i'm a bit confused from their website.
it says they sell "McDSP Native Audiosuite versions" of their plugin bundles.
does this mean they are compatible with Logic Pro 7?
thanx,
bkp

I believe they are for PT only, so the Native reference is RTAS. I could be wrong though.

audiosuite is pro tools, audio units is logic.

mcdsp is working on au versions, and they tell me it's a high priority. they're a small company, and i gather the universal binary thing threw them for a loop.

i have no doubt it will be worth the wait.

I'm thinking with this new PT 8 they gonna take even longer. It might not even happen anymore, just like Massey.

McDSP plugins only work with Pro Tools in RTAS & TDM formats.

As former Digi employe, is Colin only worried about pleasing the Digi platform?

Personally i think McDSP have missed the party , everybody that was hoping they would release AU versions has moved on and found replacements and there is a lot of great stuff to choose from out there .....

Soundtoys did themselves a favour and got in at the right time .....

I do not agree with this. If McDSP released the AU's today or tomorrow, I would buy them. I feel there are many, many people who share this sentiment.

these are probably people who have been using it on pro tools though who are thinking are moving to another daw. as for people who have never tried them, with so much out there, it's going to be harder now to entice people than even just 1 year ago. i for one would've jumped at it a year or even 6 months ago but i've since built up an amazing tool kit that gets me where i want to be.

just my opinion

I agree with this as well , they might find a place in guy's jumping from P.Tools to Logic 8 for the sake of familarity , but i don't know a single Logic pro user personally who has built up his collection and has Waves(Classics),URS, Stillwell, UAD cards, Sonalksis,Soundtoys ,Possibly the new T-Racks 3 ,PSP,Voxengo, Tritone Digital , Abbey Road, Sonnox plug-ins,Poco's and god knows what else jumping up and down just because McDSP decided there was a market/World outside of TDM/Rtas 2-3 years late ....

Sorry Sonya

Just to add i used the McDSP stuff for years when i had my P.Tools TDM system their plug-ins are o.k. but they will not set the world on fire compared to what's being offered by other companies since they were the bees knees back 5-6 years ago YMMV ...

Okay, it's been another year so I thought I would bump this to see if anybody has heard anything yet?

I went back and tried my Compressorbank yesterday and I forgot how much I like it.

I wish I could run these in Logic!
