I need a cheap SPDIF D/A...

....just to get 2 more outs on my 002R. I've not found any products that go for under $500, but there has to be, right?

A Lucid D/A from www.frontendaudio.com is probably your best bet - anything cheaper will probably disappoint. (The Lucid might expose your 002 though ... )

A Kurzweil Rumour reverb is also a good A/D & D/A for cheap.

No point buying crap.

Yikes! If you want 16 bit crap, buy a cheapie D/A from RatShack. Or Behringer.

I'm assuming you want 24 bits, and good sound quality.

I just found out about that Behringer 2 ch. AD/DA... Piece of shit? probably... but I only need it for 2 extra outputs to max out my 002's I/O (already have a great preamp with good A/D conversion via SPDIF, so I won't be using the Behry for that.) Besides, I have the ADA8000 and I don't mind it at all. I may still look into the DAT thing, as it may be beneficial just to have the DAT lying around.

I don't get any benefit from my Sony DAT - all it does is lie around.
