building reliable mobile PA, help!

Hey folks, I acquired a QSC RMX1450 and am trying to use it to build up a mobile stereo to rent out (typical rap, rock, top 40 I imagine). My ideal setup would run reliably and entertain moderately large venues (up to 100 people). I need help finding the appropriate speakers, and I am considering the JBL JRX115's or the Yamaha s115v's. I would much prefer the Yammies (rated 450W RMS), but I was concerned that at 280W x2 (8 ohm) I would be underpowering them. People have suggested that I use bridged mono mode, but using the mono output I figure I will have a 4 or 16 ohm load (parallel, series respectively), neither of which would be of any use to me (1400W or 400W). I have contemplated buying an active sub as well, but my initial hope was that I could get away without it before I got some more $$$. I am open to any suggestions, seriously.

THANKS!
