Percussion Pack for BFD, Garbage!!!!

I know that there is an actual garbage can sampled in the BFD percussion pack, but I never expected the entire pack to be pretty much garbage. First of all the general drum layout that works so well for the kits in BFD are not at all suitable for a proper percussion layout, you get maybe 5 or six sounds max and then its time to reload. Pretty much all of the samples sound over processed and there are no interface adjustments at all to the user interface to better support the use of percussion sounds. i.e. your snare becomes a timbale or the toms are now congas etc..... The icon pictures do not change to represenrt the new instrument that now occupies the space. Its up to you to figure it out. and be careful not to move your multi layered timbale etc... to a different pad or you will lose some layers etc.... I am still looking for 26 Gigs of great percussion sounds because this is definitely not it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

but if you are so inclined, you can have mine for $50 or B/O
BFD, you owe me for this one....

BFD makes up for mediocre sounds by making the program really ungainly.
GUI is unattractive. No drag and drop blah blah blah.
Anybody using Addictive Drums?
When I think of starting up BFD I pick up my guitar.
Ya know what I mean?

I never thought the BFD series sounded very good myself. I like all the Toontrack stuff MUCH better. Far more realistic to my ears on my productions with it. Toontrack's DFHS has a pretty big percussion kit included, and their 'EZ Drummer' (which is sweet) has a Latin Percussion expansion pack, which I've heard is pretty decent. (though not as involved as some bigger libraries).

Another percussion library I've heard good reviews about is Yellow Tools 'Culture'... never used it, but these guys have been making killer sample libraries for other companies for years, and I think in terms of SOUND QUALITY, they make some of the best stuff out there.
