| DUY DaD Tape Simulation I think about getting the DUY Dad Tape Simulation as they just announced realising it in native formats (AU, RTAS, VST, MAS). Could TDM users of this plug-in please give us an opinion on this: How do you like it? Using it a lot? What are you using it for? Thanks, Marc www.mozartandfriends.com |

| I will answer to this very late. I have had a demo session with it today....just tried it on few tracks. I also had a few months ago the PSP Mix Saturator 2 under my fingers and I have to say DUY DAD is not much better and is to expensive against the mix Pack. By the way I am the owner of a Telefunken M 15 A. I think we have to wait till saturation becomes much better with Plug Ins. But to say both sound good and they do some kind of saturation but it is not the real tape thing. It is pretty close and I could live with it if a customer is not having much money. Andreas

| They should lower their prices... but it's a nice tool for kick drum. It has a nice EQ curve to it for low end. If it were less expensive, it'd be great. It's a little bit over-priced for the value it presents. As stated above, it's no Phoenix. - c |

The PSP Saturator is very close the same but you get a whole plug in bundle with other useful tools. I am about to buy this. The Phonix Cranesong is on TDM only? I would love to have this as AU Unit Plug In but I can understand that companys do not like to pay high costs for copy protection. Maybe one day UAD is taking care for a great saturation Plug In.

| FWIW, I love DUY Tape on the drum bus particularily, I couldn't live without it anymore. So while it may be moere expensive than other plug-ins it's totally worth the price to me because I've used it on every mix since I've got it.
