Monster Cable Mysteries

We all know Monsta Cable. Love or hate they have some stuff that many have used.
I am wondering the following:

DO THE CABLE ARROWS MEAN ANYTHING ?
(you know some of their cables have 'direction arrows' on them)

&

DO THE DISTINCTIONS ON THE POWER CONDITIONERS MEAN ANYTHING ?
(you know the outlets that are labled "digital equipment", "analog equipment' etc...)

I suspect they are meaningless- sort of audio equipment equivalent of instructions on soap that says not to eat. Which leads me to the next Monster cable Mystery:

DO YOU THINK THEY ALSO PUT OUT THAT ENERGY DRINK 'MONSTER' ?

I have my susps, but I was wondering if anyone had data- 'specially on the first 2 mysteries

Snake oil.

The arrows may be used to identify which end goes to input and which end goes to output in messy cable cluster situations (ie. to avoid connecting an output to another output instead of an input by mistake etc.), but other than that, any claim toward the directionality of a cable for sonic quality reasons is pure bullshit.

They may, depending on the power requirements of the unit.

Digital equipment are more susceptible to brown-outs and black-outs and off-times in mains than analog equipment.

A switching noise coming from a line interactive UPS may not be noticeable through a power amp alone, but it is very likely to cause a click or pop if it happens during AD/DA conversion.

No idea.

Just for the record, there technically is such thing as a "directional" cable.

But it sure as heck isn't because the conductor "only allows electrons to flow one way" (LOL)... it is because the shield / ground is lifted at one end of the cable. There is good reason for this, but if they tell you that the conductor is "directional" that really is pure snake oil.

Lifted ground pins however, do cause a cable to be connected in a preferred "direction"

I dont know about that. When I try to flip around my IEC power cables, they dont seem to plug into the socket properly. I'll even put myself to a double blind test.

Also, Monster Energy Drink is their own company.

Franken-products

I had I feeling the drink wasn't theirs but I wouldn't have been surprised since they own a sports stadium I think. I confess I have one of the pro conditioners 2000 (like a surge protector on 'roids) and the thing is good. It has the 'digital filtered inputs' and the 'high current inputs' then I was at Best Buy and saw some of the Monsta power conditioners for home theater- and they had "VCR input" "CD player" and stuff like that and it caused me to (laugh) and also doubt that the actual inputs on all of their power conditioners were any dif or just labeled for the wanna-be thourough studio dude. I love how they have the 'special' cables for Bass, keyboards, etc... ha ha... their ipod cable is like $50-
